More often than not, when we think about oversized convoys we picture the truck hauling the load, but this picture leaves out the expertise and logistics that it takes to organize the transportation of an oversized load. TLR’s goal is to provide a thorough and complementary set of services that cover every step, and every product imaginable, of the Industrial Supply Chain process, from the smallest of parts to a generator that weighs several tons.

Our history

1946

The company, founded in Orléans, France by Lucien Robinet, played an important role in the post-war reconstruction of France. An innovative mindset already in place, the company easily entered the market thanks to their ability to adapt their transportation materials and operating processes, something that very few companies offered at this time.

1969

As a company that offers a complete range of services, TLR became a leading example in the Transportation & Logistics industry during a time of economic change. In order to meet the needs of a major Chemical client, TLR opened an office dedicated to chemical services on the outskirts of its factory in Oissel, France.

1989

As the landscape of logistics providers becomes more defined, and with the arrival of international competition, TLR decided to gradually round out their skillset in order to offer services at both ends of the transportation and distribution process. To offer an added value for their clients, TLR decided to develop their industrial supply chain expertise instead of focusing on expanding its number of work sites. A 20,000m² warehouse was added to help fulfill client needs in the Centre region of France.

2001

To cover its distribution needs throughout France, TLR joined the Group Flo by becoming a shareholder. TLR’s partnership with the Group FLO was also an opportunity to develop its skills in pallet distribution.

2012

The company decided to regroup all of its areas of activity under one brand, TLR, while maintaining its organization by area of expertise, the driving force behind its flexibility and reactivity.

2014

The company opened a warehouse, mainly dedicated to its Chemical clients, in Marolles, France.

2015

The company created its Technical Equipment Cleaning activity hub for its clients located in Saran, France. Other areas of expertise were added shortly thereafter.

2016

TLR celebrated 70 years of service and exceeded € 32 million in annual revenue. A major IT project was launched.

2017

TLR formalized its Corporate Project for the coming years and set out to conquer the Supply Chain Industry by merging its different areas of expertise into a global and coherent offer, covering all or part of the logistics process for its many clients.

70 years of industrial culture

These last few years, the world of Transportation & Logistics has undergone a complete makeover; cross channel distribution and dematerialization have redefined the patterns of product distribution, with every added website and mobile application the logistics must evolve. Logistics and marketing have practically merged in order to integrate the environmental footprint and lifetime economics of a product into the process as early as the design stage.

With these changes, TLR has made the industry of Transportation & Logistics its playing field by combining 70 years of industrial culture with a modern-day spirit for innovation. 2016 marked a turning point for TLR as they introduced a forward-thinking business project and integrated new market data and digital tools into their everyday workings. The strength of their offer will be the differentiating element among other service providers.

Created in 1920 under the name of the Society of Concerts of the Orleans Conservatory, the Orchester Symphonique d’Orléans has become an essential training of the Orléanais cultural landscape. The Orchester Symphonique d’Orléans is composed of 60 to 100 musicians, professionals, alumni and students of the Conservatoire.
